It is the only centre for translators and writers in Lithuania where the representatives of creative communities of the state and foreign countries can meet, create, translate, communicate and collaborate.  <\/p>\n<p>Through our activities, we contribute to the promotion of reading and the enhancement of the competencies of specialists working in this field. Our aim is to promote the development of the transnational cultural, creative and cognitive exchanges. ICTW specialists develop international projects, residence and creator scholarship programmes, as well as organise creative camps for writers.  <\/p>\n<p>The centre is located in the settlement of Nida on the Curonian Spit. The Curonian Spit is a unique peninsula of sand dunes \u2013 an exceptional creation of man and nature that was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural landscape site in 2000. The ICTW is located 1,600 meters away from the Baltic Sea and 500 meters away from the Curonian Lagoon.   <\/p>\n<p>Creators residing at the ICTW are offered accommodation in one of the two houses: the <em>Fisherman\u2019s<\/em> House, an old house included in the list of cultural heritage objects, or the new <em>German-style<\/em> House. The houses have rooms with all amenities, internet connection and computers.
