At International Centre for Translators and Writers we create not only favorable conditions for life and work, but also opportunities to nurture and expand international cultural experience, prepare presentations of your creative work and share experiences. The International Center for Translators and Writers is an ideal place for everyone who is looking for peace, silence, a space to relax and escape from the daily routine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Period of residencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Creative individual residencies can last from 10 days to 3 months, choosing a period during the Cold season (November 1 &#8211; April 30)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Living and working conditions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The International Center for Translators and Writers is located in Nida, one of the most beautiful resorts in Lithuania. It is situated on the Curonian Spit. The Curonian Spit is a unique peninsula of sand dunes \u2013 an exceptional creation of man and nature that was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural landscape site. The ICTW is located 1,600 meters away from the Baltic Sea and 500 meters away from the Curonian Lagoon.<\/p>\n<p>Creators residing at the ICTW are offered accommodation in one of the two houses: the\u00a0<em>Fisherman\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0House, an old house included in the list of cultural heritage objects, or the new\u00a0<em>German-style<\/em>\u00a0House. The houses have rooms with all amenities, internet connection and computers. Residents can use the self-service laundry service and borrow a bicycle free of charge. The\u00a0<em>Fisherman\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0House has a room for common use adapted for group activities and cooking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Price<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For Individual Creative Residencies we apply 40% discount from the total price of accommodation in the selected room. Applications are accepted throughout the year. All documents have to be sent as a single PDF file. The total size of the file cannot exceed 15MB. Application have to be submitted by e-mail: <a href=\"mailto:l.jurkeviciene@tvrc.lt\">l.jurkeviciene@tvrc.lt<\/a>, using the following title: \u201e<em>Name Surname<\/em> ICTW Individual Creative Residency Application\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>You must include in the PDF document:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Application form (<a href=\"https:\/\/tvrc.lt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/APPLICATION_Individual_creative_residencies_ICTW.docx\">download<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 CV (max. 2 A4 pages)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Portfolio or sample of work, or publications (no more than 3 relevant projects)<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 description, concept or plan of the creative program planned to fulfill during the residency (max. 2 A4 pages)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluation of applications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications are accepted all the year round and are evaluated on an ongoing basis. The submitted applications are evaluated by a committee of experts. The decision is made within 15 working days.
