The International Translators and Writers Centre (TVRC) together with the Municipality of Neringa and the Viktoras Mili\u016bnas Public Library of Neringa Municipality organised a creative evening for the Neringa Writer’s Scholarship winner, the poet, photographer, and translator Julius Keler, at the Mili\u016bnas Library in Nida yesterday.<\/p>\n
During the evening, the poet read his poems, and in the discussion that followed, he talked about creativity, Nida, writing poems and creative plans, and shared his memories. The event was opened by Dalia Grei\u010di\u016bt\u0117, Director of the V. Mili\u016bnas Library, the poet Julius Kelera, who is currently in residence at the TVRC, was greeted by Neringa’s Vice-Mayor Nar\u016bnas Lendraitis, and the discussion was moderated by TVRC Coordinator Lina Jurkevi\u010dien\u0117.<\/p>\n
The aim of the Neringa Writer’s Scholarship is to encourage writers to create in Neringa, to develop cognitive-cultural exchanges, to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation between the Neringa Municipality and the International Centre for Translators and Writers, a branch of the Ievos Simonaityt\u0117 Public Library of Klaip\u0117da County.<\/p>\n
