We are delighted that artists from abroad are discovering the programmes of the International Centre for Translators and Writers and coming to create! This time the Centre is hosting Chris Hales<\/strong> from Great Britain, a participant of the Individual Creative Residency programme, a new media specialist:<\/p>\n “I’m Chris Hales, a new media specialist from the UK. Sometimes I teach at VTDK (Vilnius and Technology College), sometimes at VDA (Vilnius Academy of Arts), and I am also an associate professor at RISEBA University in Latvia. Currently, my writing can be defined as academic articles and conference presentations, and I have written more than 40 articles or book chapters on interactivity, interactions, digital storytelling and, more recently, on the use of artificial intelligence in creative practice. My hobby is interactive filmmaking – a key element in the creation of non-linear storytelling, which is developed and prototyped with the help of Twine software. My own interactive cinema is mostly born and developed from visual ideas and less from the traditional element of the script-writing process.”<\/p>\n
