This Monday, the second participant of the Individual Creative Residency project, writer and creative writing lecturer Aldona T\u00fc\u00fcr, arrived at the International Centre for Translators and Writers in Nida. Aldona will be staying at the International Centre for Translators and Writers until mid-March, where she will write her second novel.<\/p>\n
“I’m Aldona, a writer and creative writing teacher. I work in the university’s communication department, I write, read and edit texts every day. I’m also going to Nida to write – I’m writing my second novel, and I’d like to dedicate my creative residency to this activity. I’m very good at distracting myself with all sorts of activities, and although you can’t get away from yourself, I think I’ll find more peace and quiet in Nida than I do in my daily life. I hope to hear in that silence the answers to the questions that arise in the writing process, and to find the words to write those answers down. It’s a short residency, so I hope it will be a good one for me.”<\/em><\/p>\n
