In the middle of the International Festival &#8220;Inkult\u016bracija&#8221;, the audience had a special opportunity to listen to a conversation between Dr. Teodoras \u017dukas and the writer, poet, translator of Thomas Mann&#8217;s works Antanas Gailius, &#8220;Why Thomas Mann?&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>During the conversation, Dr. Teodoras \u017dukas, Director of the European Right Institute, interviewed Antanas Gailius about the translations of Thomas Mann&#8217;s books, the challenges he has experienced, the planned translations of his works, and the importance of Thomas Mann in the context of Lithuanian literature. The translator shared his insights on what makes Thomas Mann&#8217;s work special and how it is valuable for each of us. <\/p>\n<p>Here are some moments from the event and we invite you to take part
