#Resident’s Notes

2023-03-29

The translators from Estonia, Maria Esko and Maarja Pärtna, who won the “Artist Residencies” project scholarships to reside in the International Center for Translators and Writers, are almost halfway through their residency in Nida. The residents not only work productively on their creative work, but also is getting to know Neringa, Klaipėda and library life.

During the first weeks of the residency, creators enjoyed the unpredictable weather and nature of Nida, participated in Neringa Forest Architecture tour, and visited Juodkrantė. They also already visited our library, where they had a tour in the library, had a meeting with the librarians, and participated in the Musical Thursday at the Audioteka.

Maarja and Maria share their impressions of the residence in a series of texts called #Resident’s Notes. You can find the first part here:

#Resident’s Notes – Maria Esko

#Resident’s Notes – Maarja Pärtna

We invite you to read, get to know them and visit library events, where you can hear from the residents themselves about their time in Nida.

The “Artist Residencies” project is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
