The International Translators and Writers Centre (TVRC) together with the Municipality of Neringa and the Viktoras Miliūnas Public Library of Neringa Municipality organised a creative evening for the Neringa Writer’s Scholarship winner, the poet, photographer, and translator Julius Keler, at the Miliūnas Library in Nida yesterday.
During the evening, the poet read his poems, and in the discussion that followed, he talked about creativity, Nida, writing poems and creative plans, and shared his memories. The event was opened by Dalia Greičiūtė, Director of the V. Miliūnas Library, the poet Julius Kelera, who is currently in residence at the TVRC, was greeted by Neringa’s Vice-Mayor Narūnas Lendraitis, and the discussion was moderated by TVRC Coordinator Lina Jurkevičienė.
The aim of the Neringa Writer’s Scholarship is to encourage writers to create in Neringa, to develop cognitive-cultural exchanges, to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation between the Neringa Municipality and the International Centre for Translators and Writers, a branch of the Ievos Simonaitytė Public Library of Klaipėda County.
