This year, the Nordic Council of Ministers-funded Artist Residencies project received a record number of applications. Following an evaluation of the applications received, the scholarships have been awarded to poet Inga Pizāne and translator Dace Meiere from Latvia, and writer Tilo Eckardt from Finland!
The winners of the project will arrive at the International Centre for Translators and Writers in spring this year and will spend two months in Nida. During the residency, the Creators will have to implement their personal Literary Project submitted in the application form, as well as participate in the cultural activities and events of the Klaipėda County Ievos Simonaitytė Library.
The successful development of the Artist Residencies project contributes to multilateral cultural and cognitive exchanges, and provides an opportunity for international cooperation between artists and their residency organisations.
