Aim of the project: To encourage young translators and writers to take interest in the literary works of Ieva Simonaitytė and, making use of their creative and translation skills, to disseminate the works of the writer outside Lithuania.

Brief description of the project: The project is designed to encourage young translators and writers to popularise and translate literary works of Ieva Simonaitytė through the provision of knowledge about the works of the writer and Lithuanian literature. During creative workshops, six participants, with the assistance of lecturers from the Klaipėda University, translated into Polish excerpts from the A Different Home (Lith. Ne ta pastogė) novel by Ieva Simonaitytė. The participants were also given the opportunity to participate in several seminars and cultural events in Klaipėda and Neringa, interact with representatives of the local community, familiarise themselves with the culture of Klaipėda region, as well as gain knowledge and experience.
