On May 1-14, we are waiting for residents from Poland and Lithuania (based on the Kitchen of Literary Translations project). The centre will host creative translation workshops, during which Lithuanian and Polish students will translate the works of the Lithuanian poets known as ‘žemininkai’ and contemporary Polish poetry. In the course of creative translation workshops, the students will have an opportunity to consult with professional translators who will provide recommendations, as well as share the secrets and recipes of the translation kitchen. The works of young translators will enjoy the first publication in the literary press and will be publicised at events for book lovers. Majority of the meetings will be held virtually due to the quarantine-related restrictions.
