Invitation to a meeting with Dr Rūta Kačkute

 

Friday 20 June, 18:30 The Thomas Mann Museum (Tomo Mano str. 8, Nida) will host a meeting with archaeologist, head of the Lithuanian National Museum Dr. Rūta Kačkute.

During the event, the author will present her debut children’s book “The Amber Road: from Rome to the Baltic” and invite to a short educational workshop.

The topic of the conversation is the ancient Roman journey along the Amber Road to the Baltic, the expedition of soldiers and merchants sent by Emperor Nero, and stories about Roman and Baltic cultures.

Dr. Rūta Kačkutė is an archaeologist, researcher, director of the Lithuanian National Museum, lecturer at Vilnius University, who defended her dissertation on the Roman Iron Age.
